Fabric History/Pedigree: 1980s deadstock kimono wool fabric, never used, unsold stock remnant fabrics,originally to be used to make Japanese kimonos.
Lightweight wool, minimally translucent, slight drape; Japanese wool is a smoother and tighter weave than many Western worsted types of wool. (Interesting discussion of the term worsted wool is here
); this one is lightly textured (wool feeling).
Motifs: Black background with geometric shapes and designs the same on both sides; Foreground is a checkerboard/ rectangular block elements 2.5 inches/6.4cm X 2 inches/5.08 cm; thesse are in lime-green lines with geometric junctions in white, yellow, and red; Background design is round shapes in red, but edges are uneven 90degree cuts;
