Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: This is a 1960s slightly translucent light-weight silk shibori fabric derived from a nagajuban; This is a plum background with designs in white; the motif is geometric interlocked diamonds in chain running lengthwise, bands on left and reight; same on both sides.
