Fabric Description: Light-weight silk hand-done shibori (tie-dyed); originally intended to make kimono; This is a 1980s fabric piece with a black background, classic shibori designs of ragged-edged rectangular shapes in even rows on  the right side(in our pics); the solid black side shows an interwoven classic geometric maze with flowers; the rectangular elements are  5 inches X 1.5 inches (12.7cm x 38.1cm); In the center of each of these figures is a red blurry oval; the shibori dots are in white; looks the same on both sides, but by design, the front is rougher to the touch; slight sheen on solid side.

Condition: Excellent.

Recommended for use in making scarf or accessories.
