Fabric History/Pedigree: 1930s-50s silk fabric pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall, by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Type:  Thin, lightweight silk, soft, slightly translucent fabric; no  sheen, print on one side but mostly visible on reverse; background fabric color is light tan with orange and medium-light green waves in parallel arrangement across the fabric; this is somewhat unusual and seems to us to be another instance of fabric designers of that period exercising creativity with modernistic designs like this one; slight texture to the touch, slight drape; Design one side, lightly same on reverse.

Suitable for making scarf or accessories.

Colors: Please use our text color descriptions to complement your sense of the fabric due to differences in contrast and color on different devices.

Condition: Excellent.
