Fabric History/Provenance: Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: This is a lightweight silk from a woman's kimono; The Background color is a very light pale lavender; Designs are cherry blossoms on branches with accented maple leaves and stylized chrysanthemums; also a single dark-red cherry blossom; the designs are in several shades of tan and ivory whites;  design is a print but mostly same on reverse; please see closeups; slight drape
