Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960s light-medium weight silk fabric piece received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall, by click-pushing HERE.
1960s Japanese silk kimono fabric which has a lighty creamy-chocolate background with full designs in metallic silver threads interwoven throughout; The design is a grid of 2 inch(5.08cm) squares with snowflake designs within each square; the fabric is textured in its weave, in addition to the roughening effect of the metallic threads; slight drape.
