Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: This is a 1970s slightly translucent light-weight silk shibori fabric derived from a  nagajuban; This is a burgundy color background that has slight gradation varying of the hues throughout; shibori small elements are in white but vary also due to the gradation of the dyeing colors; same on both sides.
