Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: Light-weight silk hand-done shibori (tie-dyed); originally intended to make nagajuban; This is a 1980's fabric piece with a dark burgundy (with hint of plum) color background, classic shibori designs of gourds (squash) shapes and a full field of tiny dots; same on both sides.

Condition: Excellent.

Recommended for use in making scarfs or accessories.
