Item Details and Description:

  • Fabric History/Pedigree: Lightweight deadstock cotton (new but unsold stock) estimated from the 1970s.

  • Fabric Description:  lightweight textured cotton similar to seersucker summer cotton originally intended for use in making yukata (summer/bath kimono); this is a machine-process mock-shibori print and is lightly textured like actual shibori (tie-dyed) cotton - but is not; the background is indigo-blue color with white make up most of the patterns of a field of small spots, with salmon-pink and pale yellow shibori 'dots' of various sizes around 1/4 inch / 6.35mm; same on both sides; Motif is of temari (orbs) and open fans with flowers within, a traditional rendering.

  • Fabric Type: Still firm, fabric softens with wash. (hand-wash separately, luke-warm water-- see our FAQ Pages for cleaning tips).

  • Colors: Please remember that the colors and contrast shown may differ on different devices. Please note our colors listed in the text here.

  • Condition:  Excellent.
