Fabric History/Pedigree: 1930s-50s silk fabric pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: This 1930s-1950s kimono silk is a lightweight fabric, slightly translucent; Background color is off-white with black-bordered odd obtuse shapes interlocked as a puzzle; truly another modernistic, perhaps abstractionist look from early post-World War 2 1950s' Japan; dominant colors used are shades of black, with browns, grays, tan, peach, pink and reds;  Motifs are same on both sides (Please see close-ups).

Colors: Please use our text color descriptions to complement your sense of the fabric due to differences in contrast and color on different devices.

Condition: Excellent.
