dividerFabric History/Provenance: Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: This is lightweight chirimen silk derived from a 1980s woman's kimono; Background color is a light peach color with black designs;  this distinctive motif is  modernistic -- even abstract to our eye: To us this pattern is like cobweb,  thinly fibrous, or even resembling a network of neurons (Perhaps a bit of a Rorschach here, DL); fabric feel is textured due to chirimen; same on both sides, slight drape and minimal sheen.

Colors: Please use our text descriptions to complement your sense of the colors, as color and contrast differ on different devices.

Condition:
Excellent.

Recommended for making scarf/accessories.
