Fabric History/Provenance: Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner /reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall, by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description:  Lightweight fabric, slightly translucent, is a cotton fabric derived from a used yukata (summer cotton kimono);  Color of fabric is indigo-blue with white designs: motif is a retro one popular in art and kimono designs from early 20th century, features many types of flowers with streams and pine trees (classic rendering) along with individual blossoms and maple leaves at random (Please view close-ups); same on both sides.


Fabric Type: Still very slightly firm, fabric softens with wash. (hand-wash separately, luke-warm water-- see our FAQ Pages for cleaning tips).
