Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: Light-weight silk shibori (hand-tie-dyed) fabric; originally intended to make under-kimono (nagajuban); This is a 1980s deep-coral-blue indigo colored fabric, solid full  of white shibori-dots, same on both sides, but by design, the front is more textured to the touch.
