Fabric History/Pedigree: Recycled 1980s silk shibori fabric pieces from deconstructed vintage kimono.

Fabric Description: Lightweight silk; probably originally intended to make haori or nagajuban; This is a 1980's fabric piece with a background of dark purple color silk that is interwoven with grid composed of 4 inches / 10.16 cm at longest dimension diamond shapes with nested concentric diamond shapes; All designs by shibori (tie-dyed) are white;  Motif is a combination of flowers and ponds in the classic style; Fabric is quite textured due to the extent of the shibori work; slight sheen in areas that are not with designs.
