Fabric Description Details:

This is lightweight, minimally translucent, and slightly stiff silk from a younger woman's ceremonial kimono. The background color is solid dark red; The motif is bright and colorful, cascading large-scale flower bouquets, different colored decorative cords, and the round figures represent tsuzumi (traditional hand-drum); flowers are of many types (classic retro designs), including peonies, chrysanthemums, cherry blossoms, daffodils, and other types; also, the tsuzumi (hand drums) partially underlie the bouquets' Colors of the designs range from off-white, to pink, tanerine orange to dark red; alos predominance of pinks and some pastel lavender color and various shades of green; a few accents in deep purple colors (Please see closeups).

Also, please note that this fabric has a mild, chirimen look and feel to the touch; designs are intended on one side, but they are apparent on the reverse.
