About these interesting motifs:
From the 1930s early-Shōwa period, this Japanese meisen silk has a bold dark-orange and cream-white hishi diamond pattern, decorated with whimsical modern toy motifs including multicolored balls, flag-topped castle or tower forms, and abstract propeller-like spinning toys(Popular in that period). The slightly blurred contours are characteristic of kasuri-patterned meisen weaving; design colors include: black, yellow, gray, ruby-red, and green; Motifs are the same on both sides.
