Fabric Description: Lightweight meisen silk from the 1930s–1950s, cream background with gradations of pastel pinks and pale blues. The design combines scrolling vine patterns with floral motifs rendered in Hogushi-Kasuri (warp-weft) weave.

Motif Details: This piece exemplifies pre-war Japanese design influenced by 1920s–1940s Art Nouveau and Art Deco from Europe and the USA. Dominant floral bouquets in large blocks (HanaTaba) cascade down the right-center side, paired with scrolling vines (Karakusa) on the left. Flower colors include black, white, dark peach, yellow, lavender, purple, orange, olive, and dark green, with accents of dark turquoise-blue. Motifs appear on both sides.
