Fabric History/Pedigree:  Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by clicking HERE

For an excellent 'how-to' do  Arai-Hari oneself, we highly recommend Kae Warnock's Blog, Chocolate Factotum:

Fabric Type:  Lightweight, translucent silk deconstructed from a woman's kimono; color is faded cream-white background with seldom seen modernistic and abstract style interlocking rings pattern; within the figure, note brushstrokes appearance; Colors used: vibrant shades of magenta, blue, peach, orange and hints of charcoal gray,  and black; designs on both sides; fabric is slightly stiff, so little drape.

Recommended for making scarves or accessories.

Colors: Please consider our text descriptions to complement your sense of the fabric, as colors and contrast can vary across devices.

Condition: Excellent.
