Fabric Description: This high-quality, delicate 1930s-1950s kimono silk is lightweight meisen fabric, slightly translucent; Background color is silver-white and predominant black; the black fans have turquoise-blue chrysanthemum stems (stylized): The ragged  1/4 inch (6.35mm) wide boundaries create irregular obtuse background fields of mock-shibori dots; these small dots are also 1/4 inch (6.35mm) diamond shapes, gray lines; The decorated fans almost fill the width; flowers in the fans are also bellflowers (kikyou);  slso hydrangea (ajisai) ; dominant flower colors used are light to medium dark pastels: white, dark peach, yellow, with the dark turquiose-blue;  Motifs are same on both sides (Please see close-ups).
