Fabric History/Pedigree:  Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by clicking HERE

For an excellent 'how-to' do  Arai-Hari oneself, we highly recommend Kae Warnock's Blog, Chocolate Factotum:

Fabric Type:  Lightweight & minimally translucent silk deconstructed from a nagajuban; color is mostly orange-red  and pink; fabric is soft and good drape. The designs are classic Japanese shibori patterns (NOT tie-dyed Shibori) of large pine cones and dotted fields evocative of water(pond);Common motffs for nagajubans at that time.

Recommended for making scarf or accessories.

Colors: Please consider our text descriptions to complement your sense of the fabric, as colors and contrast differ on different devices.

Condition: Excellent.
