  • Fabric Description:  Meisen silk, lightweight, slightly translucent and stiff; the background color is black with a checkerboard pattern, elements are about 1/2 inch/12.77mm wide, alternating rows of red and off-white (squares all fuzzy edged, evocative of kasuri),  piece same on both sides; no sheen.
