Fabric Description: This high-quality, 1930s-1950s kimono silk is a lightweight fabric,  translucent; Background color is black but filled with dark plum designs of aqua-blue 1/2 inch (12.7mm) diameter flowers; also some white blossoms of same approximate size; Typically of Meisen of this period, all designs are fuzzy with almost an Impressionistic sense; Motifs are same on both sides; Note this fabric from a summer kimono is smooth to the touch, only slight sheen.

Colors: Please use our text color descriptions to complement your sense of the fabric due to differences in contrast and color on different devices.

Condition: Excellent.

Recommended for making scarf / accessories.
