Fabric Description: This high-quality, 1930s-1950s kimono silk is a thinner, sheer-like lightweight fabric,  translucent; Background color is  black with squares (all under 1 inch / 2.54cm) with large hexagonal medallions placed alternating sides; these medallions are interwoven, composed of pixelated fields, square element as borders; these measure 6.25 inches X 4 inches (15.88 cm X 10.16cm); other colors used: white, bright mustard-yellow, dark tan, gray, burgundy and vermillion;   Typically of Meisen of this period, all designs are fuzzy with almost an Impressionistic sense; Motifs are same on both sides .
