Fabric Description: This high-quality, 1930s-1950s kimono silk is a lightweight fabric, slightly translucent; Background color is  black and cream alternating bands running equidistant and vertically; the cream bands have striations in light colonial-blue;cream color; Strong geometrics, with the elongated hex figures measuring 1.4 inches X 1 inch (38.1mm X 25.4mm), with the alternating horizontal bands measuring 1.75 inches deep; Note that the hex figures within the bands alternate colors red, white and black, all hex shapes with small square in center; other colors used: light-colonial blue to gray,  Typically of Meisen of this period, all designs are fuzzy with almost an Impressionistic sense; Motifs are same on both sides .
