Fabric History/Pedigree: Lightweight thin deadstock cotton (new but unsold stock) estimated from the 1990s, originally intended for making summer yukata, as worn at festivals
- Fabric Description: Lightweight Yukata black color cotton with half side in dark green solid with speckles; At the center, alongside the solid area is a band of six .25 inch / 6.35mm wide stripes;please view close-ups; In addition to the large pink and violet - with some yellows- rhododendrons, the 3-inch/7.62cm orbs randomly placed in the black field look like either fireworks or a dandelion puffball shape; The branches are in an almost batik look, using gradation colors from dark to colonial blues, shades of gray and white;
Fabric Type: Still slightly firm, the fabric softens with wash. (hand-wash separately, with lukewarm water-- see our FAQ Pages for cleaning tips.
