Fabric History/Pedigree: 1930s-50s silk fabric pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: This high-quality, 1930s-1950s kimono silk is a lightweight fabric, only slightly translucent; Background color is peach; the motif resembles a maze, composed of many types of rectangular and obtuse-angled figures, many are multidimensional/multi-sided geometric shapes in red, white, and black forms; All the elements are no larger than 1.5 inches / 38.1mm at longest side; this is another example of the more modernistic, perhaps abstractionist look from early post-World War 2 1950s' designers in Japan;  Motifs are same on both sides (Please see close-ups).

Colors: Please use our text color descriptions to complement your sense of the fabric due to differences in contrast and color on different devices.

Condition: Excellent.
