Fabric History/Pedigree: 1930s-50s silk fabric pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: This 1930s-1950s kimono silk is a lightweight, translucent, almost sheer fine fabric,  Background color is dark orange with a single 1-inch (2.54cm) wide band running lengthwise in a slight zigzag pattern; otherwise, rectangles measuring about 7 inches /17.78cm  X 3.5 inches / 8.89cm; the rectangles align alternating from side to side; Within the rectangles are multiple triangular figures in red, white and light mustard colors; truly another modernistic, perhaps abstractionist look from early post-World War 2 1950s' Japan; Motifs are same on both sides (Please see close-ups).

Colors: Please use our text color descriptions to complement your sense of the fabric due to differences in contrast and color on different devices.

Condition: Excellent.
