Fabric History/Pedigree: 1930s-50s silk fabric was derived from a young woman's ceremonial kimono. Exceptional quality/condition for its age.

Fabric Type:   Delicate lightweight dark-fuschia silk, very slightly translucent fabric. slight chirimen (crepe) feel with the background  interwoven with classic waves and clouds throughout -- being visible in the solid areas (see close-ups);  motif is of bright and multiple color designs;  print on one side but mostly visible on the revers; the open fans are replete with multiple flowers,some with crane, and decorative cords winding in background;, Colors used in motifs are from most of the spectrum, with reds, teals, greens, pink, dark plum and white or cream;  slight drape.

Suitable for making scarf or accessories, or even framing and display.
