Returns and Refunds Policies of YokoDana Kimono

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. BUYING SIGHT-UNSEEN:  

We know how difficult it is to buy certain things without examining them in person. This is particularly so with the kinds of things we sell. We urge customers to not only look at pictures of items, but to carefully read the text descriptions which complement the pictures. Also, feel free to email questions before finalizing a web purchase from us. This helps cut down on returns and saves you and us both time and money. As we deal with one-of-a-kind specialty garments and textiles, where so much is subjective, the judgment about returns can be difficult. We welcome your opinions and input.

The return policy is not intended as an approval basis or consignment, but as a protection for new buyers. Our intention in having a return policy -- while many other vintage and antique merchants have you bought it, it's yours policies -- is to accommodate the difficulty you face when buying something without seeing it or touching it.

2. RETURN PROCEDURES:  

If you do not like what you have bought, please contact us by phone or email for return authorization within 72 hours of receipt of your item; please state specifically your reasons for return(not just 'I didn't like it' but specifics please). Please note exceptions for returns of bulk kimono packages below, items 7 and 8. Please do not ship until you've heard from us.

3. REFUNDS:

PROCEDURE FOR RETURNS/REFUNDS:
Email us within 3 days of your receipt of the package.Once you receive our return instructions and approval and ship the item to us, upon our receipt of the original package in the same condition, we will pay a refund to you in the same manner as you paid us, issuing you a credit card credit, Paypal refund or sending a check for the cost of the merchandise, excluding shipping costs. We issue the refund within one business day of our receipt of the returned package (unless we are out of the office).

4. DAMAGED IN TRANSIT:

If the order was damaged in any way during shipment to you, please also let us know specifics immediately so we can file a claim.

5. CUSTOMER PACKING FOR RETURNS:

We ask that you please use our original shipping carton & packing material for returns. We will provide detailed instructions at the time of return. We only ask that you cover the cost of shipping item back to us. Also, we strongly urge you to insure the item when returning. In some cases we may cover the cost of return shipping at our discretion.

6. TIME LIMIT FOR RETURNS:

We also ask that you return the item immediately, postmarked within 3 business days. To qualify for the terms of refund/returns we must receive the item by the 10th business day following our return authorization notice. If you have a circumstance where you need an extension, please contact us right away.

7. IMPORTANT EXCEPTION FOR INTERNATIONAL BUYERS OF BY-POUND PRODUCTS: 

International shipments of bulk kimono products ARE NOT returnable nor refundable. If this is a concern to you, please contact us prior to ordering. The main reason for this policy is the cost to return, and the possiblity of incurring import charges etc upon re-entry to USA. Therefore, please be sure to carefully review ALL our information before deciding. We have MANY satisfied international customers. Their comments can be seen in the Testimonials page(tab above).We do not offer returns for non-USA customers. 

8. USA CUSTOMERS BULK KIMONO PACKAGE RETURNS POLICY:

 NO PARTIAL RETURNS OF BULK PACKAGES:

We encourage first-time buyers to carefully review the appropriate product descriptions, the relevant FAQ pages (frequently asked questions), as well as the testimonials on our site before finalizing your order. Also, feel free to contact us before ordering if you still have questions.

Please note also that the unusual nature of this product requires us to have a variation to our general return policy, as follows:

We DO accept returns on your first order, but not partial returns, of by-pound products. If you do not like it, please return the entire package & get a refund of the cost of the product not including shipping. If it is not what you imagined it to be, please let us know immediately, with as much detail as possible, no later than 72 hours after delivery. We will give you instructions and authorization to return. 



9. To qualify for a refund, PLEASE DO NOT RETURN YOUR ORDER WITHOUT GETTING OUR ADVANCE AUTHORIZATION.
