FAQ: For International Customers
Special Information for our bulk kimono packages customers located outside the United States:
We have been in the export-import business since 1989. We have shipped all over the world and continue to do so on a regular basis. The information below is culled from the questions we have received from customers over the years. We urge our non-USA customers to read this section before ordering.
International FAQs: These are the most commonly asked questions we receive from buyers outside the United States:
- What countries do you ship to? We have shipped to the following countries:
- Do you take foreign currency?
- What are your terms?
All orders must be pre-paid before shipping. All prices are FOB (EX WORKS): Newark, Delaware USA.
- What are shipping options for international customers?
We use United States Postal Service as our primary method of international shipment, with a DHL International option also availableas well as FedEx to Mexico and Canada. We ship to all countries which are not prohibited by United States State Department or US Export Regulations and to destinations around the world covered by the United States Postal Service and other carriers.
ITALY: At present we do not ship to Italy because of exorbitant duties and fees charged for our type products. If you wish a shipment to Italy, please contact us by webmail HERE(not secure, no credit card info please).
Since July 2016 we ship all over the world by DHL. We are finding that the rates are competitive (for smaller packets) than shipment by US Postal Service to the same country; plus, the package arrives in 2-3 days.
May 9, 2018: TECHNICAL NOTE --
If you want to ship an order by DHL Express Int'l, at present DHL shipping option does not show in oUr cart during checkout. So, please email us BEFORE ordering that you wish a DHL quote and we will advise you of the amount and send a customized order invoice. You can also just order and add note about wanting DHL.
We'll need your ship-to address and phone number, please include province or region depending on the country. PLEASE -- NO FINANCIAL INFO IN YOUR EMAIL.

- What about my import duties, customs etc.?
All import, VAT, customs duties etc are the responsibility of the customer paid upon your receipt of goods in your country. Given the great difference in how countries handle import, we cannot know what your exposure will be, though we know some countries which have a history of charging customs for our goods. We recommend you email us with your specific country and concern and we'll work with you. We have extensive Export-Import experience since 1989 and know preferred terminologies for customs documents etc.
- Do you sell on consignment?
