Item Details and Description

• Fabric History/Pedigree:  1980s  or earlier silk fabric pieces from a partial deadstock roll found with other similar old fabrics; Ohshima Tsumugi Silk.
  
  
• Fabric Description:
  
  Fabric is medium weight, stiff, background  is a beige with pixels design parts a muted pastel-olive green; other colors: tan, light blues; the geometric grid is composed of 1.25 inches / 31.75 mm 4-sided diamond shaped elements; inside of the diamond elements are tiny diamond center, and floral pieces; note the darker pixels throughout, with intentionally fuzzy boundaries of all designs; the fabric is stiff and is not translucent; same on both sides.
  

NOTE: All designs result from a pixelated effect, tiny pixelated lines created in the weaving/dyeing process (Please see closeups); selvage on both sides is .25 inch (6.35mm) fabric slightly stiff, little drape; same on both sides.
