Fabric Description: This high-quality, 1930s-1950s meisen kimono silk is a lightweight fabric, slightly translucent; The Background color is light tan/beige color; designs are rather distinctive, of background leaves and stems in light gray, with the foreground being flowers and stems in a geometric sort of web or reticular pattern; Foreground colors are predominantly dark-fuschia to iron red flowers, and stems are in shades of black to brown to olive green and dark greens, some white within flowers;  all designs and lines are typically fuzzy-edged Meisen type; this is truly another example of what Japanese kimono designers did in early post-World War 2, 1950s Japan; has a definitely more modern(Western) feel to it; Motifs are same on both sides (Please see close-ups).
