Fabric History/Pedigree: 1980s pieces derived from deadstock roll of kimono silk; (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used);

Fabric Description: Japanese vintage damask silk kimono fabric designed for use in making woman's silk kimono; Light-medium weight Japanese silk, slightly textured to touch due to interwoven patterns; Note the *bokashi-like (gradation dyeing) with shiny speckles throughout, size of speckled elements is from pinpoint sizes to 1/8(.125) inch / 3.17mm; The Bokashi is in varying hues of yellow, from almost-white to butter-yellow, to light golden yellow;

In the bottom portion of the piece please note the 9 inches / 22.86 cm tall ikebana floral arrangement; this ikebana flower arrangement motif/design is also in gradation coloring into the primary yellows of the piece; Also, within the ikebana flowers there are a few thin lines accenting in metallic gold - a print process (Please see closeups);
