Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960's deadstock found as a partial roll; unused.
Fabric Description Details: Black silk Japanese pongee silk called tsumugi, lightweight, translucent, and slightly stiff; The design is the same on both sides: solid background with undulating lengthwise red lines with geometric odd-shaped figures in parallel rows and columns; Figures are 4.25 inches/10.75 X 3 inches; The colors of the figures are grayish-silver with small red diamond shapes within the rectangular center (as background, barely visible); black and burgundy, with tans (see close-ups); please see closeups.
