Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by clicking HERE.
Fabric Type: Lightweight cotton for making summer kimono (yukata), slightly translucent, dark black background color with evenly-spaced parallel vertical (lengthwise)bands, (each about 3/4 inch/19.05mm wide) running lengthwise (top-bottom); these bands are composed of multiple pinstripes in a range of colors: various grays, blues, trace of yellow, sliver of red, whites, and silver -- please view closeups); designs same on both sides.
