Fabric History/Provenance: Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert J ohn Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: This is lightweight silk derived from a 1960s woman's kimono; Background color is an even golden-yellow throughout, with a full background of interwoven small (under .75inch/19.05mm) daisy mums and .25 inch/6.35mm wide undulatiing bands forming 5 inches/12.7cm long eye-shapes(along warp/lenghtwise); These small-sized flower designs are sometimes called komon (lit. tiny mon/crests); some drape and light sheen.
