Fabric History/Pedigree: Medium-lightweight, translucent deadstock cotton (new but unsold stock) estimated from the 1970s.
- Fabric Description: Medium-lightweight textured cotton similar to seersucker summer cotton originally intended for use in making yukata (summer/bath kimono); this is a machine-process mock-shibori print and is textured like actual shibori (tie-dyed) cotton - but is not true hand-shibori; the background is white with a lattice pattern in lime-green; Elements of the lattice are 1 inch/ 2.54cm diamond shapes with textured patterns of flowers within elements (Please see our second picture above).
