Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description:  Light to medium weight silk (not translucent) is a 1980s piece from a woman's kimono; the fabric background is black  with interwoven classical  waves designs are slightly raised(textured);  the design are of stylized peach tree in bloom with peaches in various shades of red-peach, with a few blue ones randomly placed; The tree branches are a soft brown with cream; other colors: earth tone, gblues, greens; designs on one side only; fabric has slight drape.
