Fabric History/Pedigree:  Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by clicking HERE

For an excellent 'how-to' do  Arai-Hari oneself, we highly recommend Kae Warnock's Blog, Chocolate Factotum:

Fabric Description: Lightweight silk, minimally translucent, deconstructed  from woman's kimono with solid medium hue of blue color background; Motif is a mix of  various types and sizes of flowers and their stems and leaves; minimal drape, smooth to touch but no sheen.

COMMENTARY: To our eye, this design is an example of the 1960s to 1980s kimono designers experimenting with non-Japanese motifs; so much so, that IMHO this might be mistaken for something made in the West. Interesting.

Colors:  Reminder that colors on different devices can vary significantly, please use our text color descriptions in your consideration.

Condition: Excellent.
