Fabric Description: This high-quality, 1930s-1950s kimono silk is a very thin, sheer lightweight fabric, transparent; Background color is light purple with dark purple designs of large flowers which take up more than 3/4 of the fabric width; there are some dark red accents on the flower blossom edges;Typically of Meisen of this period, all designs are fuzzy with almost an Impressionistic sense; Motifs are same on both sides; Note this fabric from a summer kimono is exceptionally sheer. good condition for its age.
