Fabric Description: Light-medium weight chirimen (crepe) silk deconstructed from a younger woman's kimono; This is a 1960s  or earlier fabric piece which is  soft-white background color,. This design is rather distinctive as it combines themes from classic (Edo) art and textiles, namely, Cascading streams along with abundant chrysanthemums; also, Japanese maple leaves (momiji) and bamboo leaves as well; predominant colors of the flowers is gray (including dark gray-colonial blues); Other colors: Rusty burgundy as well as black, pinks with dark lavende, moss-greens and mustard yellows at centers of mums - please see closeups; Fabric is chirimen (crepe).
