Fabric Description: Lightweight silk deconstructed from a younger woman's kimono; This is a 1930s-50s fabric piece has a dark peach color background, interwoven with an unusual irreegular reticular pattern throughout the fabric, but only detected in the spaces which are not decorated; Looking at the full length, note it is fully cascading large flower bunches with books decorated also with flowers, etc., but also Imperial flower carts; Types of flowers are multiple: peonies, several types of mums, cherry and plum blossoms; as a result the fabric is filled, top to bottom, with many designs, blossoms and leaves - classic renderings: Colors used in designs are full spectrum, from dark reds to light pastels of different colors, overall, striking presentation; All designs are print on one side but given the thin nature of the fabric is seen on reverse; soft to the touch; minimal drape.
