Fabric History/Pedigree:  Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by clicking HERE; 

Fabric Type: Dark indigo-blue(almost black) background color, light-weight, minimally translucent, slightly stiff from 1960s yukata; Design of the dyed weave is rectangular mesh pattern, elements are 1/8th(.125) inch / 3.17mm and smaller - please see closeups); the patterns are light pale aqua-blue (almost white); Designs same on both sides and selvage 1/4 inch / 6.35 mm on both sides; As indigo-plant dyed, wash separately, multiple times; please see  our care & cleaning tips page HERE.
