Item Details and Description

    Fabric Description:  1930s-1950s Meisen silk, lightweight, translucent (but not quite 'sheer');with intentionally fuzzy edges to designs; this exceptional fabric has irregullar ragged lines creating vertical(lenghtwise) thick stripes - after a fashion; mostly pastel colors  are used with some dark and bright tones in some accent palces; The background  vertical stripes (all under 1 inch/2.54 cm wide) serve as background for large multi-colored leaves randomly placed as foreground; colors of the designs range from  red (to include darker reds), grays, dark lavender, bright mustard yellows, black, tans, white, beige, and dark plum; same on both sides; no sheen; faric is slightly stiff and smooth to the touch.
