Item Details and Description:

• Fabric History/Pedigree:   Lightweight thin deadstock  Japanese yukata cotton (new but unsold stock) estimated from the 1930s - 1950s.
  
  
• Fabric Description:  Lightweight, translucent burgundy background color cotton yukata (summer kimono) fabric the same on both sides; as foreground the design is of hexagon-shaped & pixelated medallions (3.5inches / 8.89cm at longest), with floral designs within, arranged in checkerboard array; as background in a subdued, burnished-gray color please note the geometric hashtag or grid appearance background designs; colors of the fabric also include several hues of mustard, whites, grays(Please see close-ups).
  
  
• Fabric Type: Still slightly firm, the fabric softens with wash. (hand-wash separately, with lukewarm water-- see our FAQ Pages for cleaning tips.
