• Fabric History/Pedigree:   Lightweight thin deadstock cotton (new but unsold stock) estimated from the 1960s originally intended for making everyday bath yukata; This is a promotional fabric related to Sumo Wrestling.
  
  
• Fabric Description:  Lightweight yukata cotton fabric, indigo blue and white, minimally translucent; the motif is 13 one-inch (2.54cm) wide columns (running vertically/lengthwise) of tsuna, evocative of the braided Sumo Grand Champion's Belt;  Cotton is slightly firm, the fabric softens with wash. (hand-wash separately, with lukewarm water-- see our FAQ Pages for cleaning tips.
