Fabric History/Provenance: Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: This is a lightweight silk , minimally translucent, taken from a  making a woman's kimono; Background color is black with mock-shibori designs of single-dotted curving lines and two images of temari balls ( 6inches/15.24cm & 4.5inches/11.43cm diameters); design colors used are white, rusty-orange, lime-green & medium hue greens; also reds; design same on both sides; slight drape.

Recommended for making scarf/accessories.
