Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960s fabric derived from deadstock roll of kimono silk; (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used).
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage silk kimono fabric originally intended to make a woman's kimono; background-color is rusty-burgundy with most interesting array of irregularly shaped figures, each with complex "doodling" within; In the spaces between these figures are tiny plus signs; We've frankly never seen any design quite like this in 60s Japanese kimono fabrics; colors of designs are mostly tan with some light blue-grays; Designs print on one side, but mostly visible on reverse.
When purchasing more than one yard, lengths are sent uncut.
