Fabric History/Provenance: Pieces derived from deadstock 1960's kimono silk roll.
Fabric Description: This is medium-weight silk for use in making a semi-formal woman's kimono,; the fabric background is black with the entire fabric field filled with flowers and leaves designs, with randomly placed floral orbs (Temari) designs (larger ones are 5 inches /12.7cm diameter), all in light to medium purple hues; Designs are interwoven but design intended for outer side (shown); The temari and flowers are rendered so that the fabric has a slight sheen but also is lightly textured; the design colors vary depending on lighting; minimal drape.
