dividerFabric History/Pedigree: 1960s silk fabric was derived from a young woman's kimono. Good quality/condition for its age. Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Type:   Delicate lightweight dark-fuschia-red silk, solid background, very slightly translucent fabric. retro motif is bright and multiple color designs of large doves in flight, wings spread, and large (largest is 8.5 inches / 21.59cm diameter) floral orbs with decorative cords(noshi) cascading as background; Colors used in motifs are from most of the spectrum, with purple, pink, blues, mustard, greens, gray and white, off-whites; slight drape.
